| General paleotectonics and formation processes of Mesosoic strata structures of the western part of the Bukhara-Khiva area (Uzbekistan) | |
| The article considers the results of paleotectonic reconstructions of the western part of the Bukhara-Khiva area and their scientific and practical significance. It has been established that the prospects of Mesozoic strata in the our area of activity are related to the history of tectonic development and the conditions for the formation of structures. On the basis of geological and geophysical data on Mesozoic section, as well as using the results of paleotectonic reconstructions of the territory of the western part of the Bukhara-Khiva area, the time of tectonic activity was determined. The established dependences of the oil and gas content of structures on the time of their formation make it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of prospecting for oil and gas accumulations by reducing the number of unproductive wells, as well as to make adjustments in the direction of further exploration activity in the western part of the Bukhara-Khiva area.
