pdf  Petroleum potential forecast (based on paleo-hydrogeological data) of the Upper Jurassic deposits – southern regions of Ob-Irtish interfluve
The results of regional and zonal forecast of petroleum potential of the Upper Jurassic deposits of Ob-Irtish interfluve based on paleo-hydrogeological data are presented. The main paleo-hydrogeological criteria, which are traditionally used for forecasting, are considered. The hydro-geochemical peculiarities of the Upper Jurassic complex are determined. The results of paleo-hydrogeochemical and paleo-hydrodynamical reconstructions are given. The zones of hydrocarbon generation and accumulation are mapped. The main ways of fluid migration are established. The areas most promising for hydrocarbons are indicated. The further exploration activities in the region are substantiated.
