pdf  Oil potential of Russia. Problems of its estimation and development
Ultimate potential oil resources in many Russia onshore and offshore regions have been overestimated and their revision is required. The сommercial oil reserves in the major oil-producing regions decline, deplete; they are not capable to maintain the high levels of oil production within the next five years. For oil production grow it is necessary to put the fields of Eastern Siberia, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Russia shelves into production. For maintaining an oil production at a level of more than 420 million t/year by 2030, it is necessary to grow no less than 12.5 billion t of new reserves including 4.0 billion t in already discovered fields as a result of increasing an oil recovery factor
Key words: oil potential, economic estimation of exploration, ultimate potential oil resources, additions to commercial reserves, production rates.
